Erect annual with thick stem, 25-65 cm tall. Cauline leaves 3-8 cm, elliptic to ovate, amplexicaul, upper ones perfoliate, ± orbicular, yellowish. Rays 8-17, those of central, reduced umbellules shorter. Bracteoles normally 5, 3 large and 2 much smaller, large 5-10 mm, small 1,5-4 mm, in central umbellules all smaller, all apiculate. Petals yellow, 0,6-0,7 mm. Anthers 0,4-0,5 mm. Stylopodium 1-1,5 mm broad, styles 0,7-0,9 mm. Fruit 3,5-4 mm, smooth, ridges filiform. Fl. 5-7. Steppe, dry slopes, secondarily as segetal weed, 400-1850 m.
