Like B. pulchellum, but 25-40 cm, branches more ascending. Upper leaves with a broad amplexicaul base. Peduncles 10-60 mm, rays 1-2, 10-40 mm. Bracts 1-9 mm. Bracteoles 4,5-6 mm long, 2-3,5 mm broad, broadly elliptic, 5-7 veined, acutish, forming a ± spherical cover around flowers before and after anthesis. Umbellules 5-10-flowered. Fruit 3 mm. Fl. 5-7. Dry hills, scree, 1300-1350 m.
