Branched ± setose biennial with purple-tinged or spotted stems up to 100 cm. Lower leaves dark green, ovate-triangular, 10-15 x 4.5-9 cm, 2-3-pinnate; ultimate segments ovate, 6-35 x 5-20 mm, obtusely crenate to ± deeply lobed. Rays 4-12, ± equal, erect or somewhat spreading, 2-5 cm. Bracts 0-1. Bracteoles 5-7, oblong-ovate to lanceolate, ciliate, 2-3 x c. 1.5 mm. Pedicels 8-12, unequal, 3-6 mm. Umbellules with 4-13 fruits. Fruit linear-ovate, 4-6 x 1-1,5 mm. Fl. 6-7.
