Glabrescent perennial; stem striate, 60-90 cm tall and up to 1·5 cm thick at base. Leaves 5-6-pinnate, triangular-ovate in outline, very sparsely aculeolatescabrid; ultimate segments linear, 5-15 x 0,4-0,8 mm, apiculate. Sheaths 6,5-7,5 cm, ovate, broadly inflated, coriaceous. Inflorescence paniculate-corymbose, central umbels with peduncles 3-20 rom; rays 12-15, 1,5-3,5 cm, umbellules 8-14-flowered; fruiting pedicels 5-9 mm. Mericarps obovate, 9-11 x 6-7 mm; dorsal ridges filiform, acute; wings c. 2 mm wide; dorsal vittae solitary per vallecula; commissural vittae 4. Fl. 5-6. Saline Artemisia steppe, c. 900 m.
