Glabrous glaucescent perennial. Stem terete, weakly sulcate, with conspicuously swollen nodes atfruiting time, 30-70 cm. Leaves 4-pinnate, ovate to broadly lanceolate in outline, 10-35 x 5-20 cm; lobes finely setaceous to linear-lanceolate, 2-4 mm, glabrous, glaucescent. Inflorescence paniculate-corymbose, rays 6-10, subequal, 3,5-6 cm, laterals ascending-horizontal; bracts lanceolate, 5-8 mm, acute; fruiting pedicels accrescent, 6-11 mm; bracteoles 3-4 mm, acuminate. Mericarps ovate-elliptic, 10-14 x 5-7 mm, truncate at the base, dorsal ridges narrowly winged-acute, lateral wings 0,5-1,5 mm wide; dorsal and commissural vittae more than 12. Fl. 4-6. Shady and rocky places, 200-1450 m.
