Tall glaucescent perennial. Stem angled, sulcate, up to 125 cm. Leaves 4-5-pinnate, triangular-ovate in outline, 25-40 x 10-15 cm, minutely setulose to glabrous; lobes linear-filiform, 3-7 mm, apiculate, grooved. Inflorescence a panicled thyrse, setulose; rays 10-18, stout, subequal, 2-3 cm, laterals ascending; bracts lanceolate, subulate, 7-10 mm, ± membranous; fruiting pedicels slightly accrescent, 5-7 mm; bracteoles membranous, 4-7 mm. Petals minutely setulose on dorsal side. Mericarps elliptic, 9-11 x 6-7 mm, scabrid-setulose when young, becoming glabrous at maturity, dorsal ridges narrowly winged, lateral wings 0,5 mm wide; dorsal vittae 6-12, commissural 4-8. Fl. 6-8. Rocky slopes, 870-2900 m.
