Branched, sturdy, ± spreading, glabrous to shortly scabrid perennial, with ± clearly angled stems, 5-40 cm. Basal leaves narrow ovate-oblong, 5-15 x 1-1.5 cm, 1-2-pinnate; pinnae deeply dissected, ultimate segments linear, 1-5 mm. Upper leaves broader, segments up to 11 mm. Rays 9-17, unequal, spreading, 1.5-7 cm. Bracts 5-7, pinnatisect, 1-2 cm. Bracteoles 3-5, linear or pinnatisect, 4-8 mm. Pedicels somewhat spreading, 1-5 mm. Sepals ± triangular. Fertile umbellules with 3-12 fruits. Fruit linear-oblong, 10-25 x 2-3.5 mm; wing c. 0.5 mm, inconspicuous when young. Style 0.5-2 mm. Fl. 5. Shale slopes, rocky igneous slopes, meadows, 1500-2200 m.
