Perennial, 0,6-2 m, not aromatic. Stem 7-20 mm diam. below, sulcate, asperous to grey-pubescent. Lower leaves pinnate, ternate or lobed, the lamina glabrous to softly setulose or pubescent above, always hairy below , rarely grey-pubescent on both sides. Upper cauline leaves with narrowly oblong to ovate sheaths. Bracteoles linear. Rays 20-50, unequal, 4-15 cm, glabrous to pubescent. Flowers white or pale yellowish green, the outer ones radiant or regular. Ovary shortly hairy or glabrous. Fruits broadly obovate to orbicular, 6-11 x 7-9 mm, emarginate, glabrous or rarely setulose; dorsal vittae filiform or filiform-subclavate, less than 0,5 mm broad, ½ -¾ as long as mericarp; commissural vittae 1/3 -1/2 as long as mericarp.
