Glabrous, glaucous perennial, 50-120 cm high. Lower leaves broadly ovate, 25-45 x 16-25 cm, segments broadly ovate to ± orbicular, 3-7 x2,5-6,5 cm, finely and conspicuously reticulately veined, deeply or shallowly ternately lobed, lobes crenate-dentate, mucronate. Rays 12-25, equal or not, 4-10 cm. Bracts 0-2, ovate-lanceolate, to 2 cm. Bracteoles c. 5. Pedicels 8-20, ± equal, 3-12 mm. Fruit 6-10 per umbellule, 7-8 x 3-4 mm; lateral ridges somewhat winged. Fl 5-7. Conifer woods and scrub, macchie and rocks near sea, s.l.-1800 m.
