Erect ± villous perennial with striate stems, 60-80 cm, wth a sturdy rootstock crowned by a fibrous collar. Lower leaves 3-4-pinnate, 25-30 x 15-25 cm, segments ovate to rhomboid, ± deeply lobed or toothed, 8-18 x 5-12 mm. Petioles densely woolly. Rays 17-22, sulcate, ± equal, 3-5 cm. Bracts 8-10, 2-3 cm. Bracteoles c. 10, linear-lanceolate, 1-1,5 cm. Pedicels 12-20, ± equal, 6-9 mm. Petals white, drying yellow, 3-3,5 mm. Mericarps slightly dorsally compressed, ± villous; primary and dorsal secondary ridges narrowly winged, lateral secondary with 2-4 mm pale papery wings, wings all ± erose. Fl. 7-8. Rocky limestone slopes and ravines, 2200-2450 m.
