Stem hollow, strigose, with white, ± retrorse, often tuberculate hairs, rarely glabrous, 30-60 cm. Basal leaves soon deciduous, similar to lower leaves, broad triangular, bi-ternate or 2-3-pinnate or pinnatisect, strigose, 15-24 x 12-14 cm, segments oblong to ovate, incised dentate. Rays 2-4, rigid, strigose, 1,5-4 cm, equal or unequal. Bracteoles c. 5, ± reflexed, narrow-ovate-acuminate, shorter than pedicels. Pedicels 4-10, strigose, 0-1 cm. Fruit 9-12 x 1,5-3 mm, mericarps strigose with antrorse, ± tuberculate hairs. FI. 5-6. Shady damp gullies and streamsides, Quercus scrub, 200-1490 m.
