Glabrous or pubescent perennial with little-branched stems 25-60 cm. Basal leaves 5-20 cm, petiolate, 1-pinnate, segments ovate to ovate-lanceolate, margins deeply dentate. Cauline leaves with pinnatifid to pinnatisect segments. Umbels 12-20-rayed; bracts and bracteoles usually absent. Flowers pink or red, 15-20 per umbellule; petals glabrous or hairy on back. Immature fruit ovoid, glabrous. Fl. 7-8. 600-2150 m.
