Perennial with slender puberulent stems up to 60 cm. Basal leaves 5-15 cm, oblong, 1-pinnate, segments ovate, shortly or deeply dentate to ± pinnatifid. Cauline leaves much reduced. Umbels 5-12-rayed; bracts and bracteoles absent. Flowers white, 10-20 per umbellule; petals hairy on back. Fruit up to 2,5 mm long, broadly ovoid, glabrous; stylopodium mamillate-depressed. Fl. 6-11. Alt. 1680-2900 m.
Europe except extreme S. and islands, Caucasia.
