Robust perennial, often 100-150 cm; stems glabrous. Basal and lower cauline leaves 30-60 cm, 5-pinnate, papillate; lobes 20-50 x0,5-1 mm; leaves at base of lateral umbels reduced to a broad sheath, sometimes with a few lobes. Bracts large, 12-15 x 6-10 mm, persistent; bracteoles ovate-acuminate, large. Fruiting umbels 9-20-rayed. Sepals obsolete. Petals pale yellow, glabrous. Fruit narrowly ellipsoid, 15-22 x 7 mm; wings narrow, 1,5-2 mm wide, straight though sometimes undulate in young fruit. Fl. 5-7. Screes, rocky limestone slopes, 1000-3000 m.
