Stems 50-175 cm, robust, ribbed. Basal or near basal leaves 2-3-ternate/pinnate; ultimate segments ovate to ± orbicular, up to 6 x 4-6 cm, sparingly crenate-dentate. Upper leaves opposite, ovate with cordate base, up to c. 8 cm, margin entire, sessile. Umbels 13-18-rayed. Mericarps c. 3,5 x 3 mm, dorsal ridges obscure; styles 1,4-1,8 mm, slender and erect, even in fruit. Fl. 5. Slopes, rocky or grassy steppe, 1400-2000 m.
