Erect, branched, stems up to 60 cm, retrorsely setose. Leaves 2-pinnate, the ultimate segments entire or toothed, more than 2 mm broad, strigose. Umbels terminal. Rays 5-12, all ± the same length, setose. Bracts 0. Bracteoles lanceolate, setose, shorter than flowers. Petals white, radiant, c. 2 mm. Fruit linear-cylindrical, c. 6 x 0,7 mm. Mericarps with 4 secondary ridges bearing long, sparsely papillose, patent, broad-based spines, the primary ridges between them with adpressed setae in 2-3 rows. Fl. 6-7. Rocky slopes, river terraces, eroded banks, 800-1500 m.
