Tuber vertical. Petiole of leaves 10-35 cm, greenish, with long broad purplish sheath. Lamina broadly hastate to hastate, 8-26 x 4-18 cm, dark green to yellow-green, sometimes shiny; basal lobes 1/4-1/3 x middle lobe, with an outward-directed angular segment and a rounded segment ± overlapping sinus. Scape 15-43 cm, equalling or longer than petioles. Spathe pale green to whitish or yellow, 7-24 x 3-4 cm; lamina acuminate. Spadix 7-16.5 cm. Female zone 10-20 mm, nearly contiguous with 10-13 mm male zone. Sterile fllaments entirely absent or,if present, only below male zone and very few and small. Appendix yellow , 6.5-10.5 x 0.5 cm, with short indistinct stipe and hooked apex. 2n = 28. Fl. 3. Rocky places. .
