26-40 cm. Lamina large, broadly hastate, 11.5-30 x 10-23.5 cm, acute or shortly acuminate with distinct lateral lobes, deep green, with or usually without whitish veins. Scape 12-20 cm, shorter than petioles. Spathe light greenish-yellow to·transparent white, soon drooping at apex, 20-40 x 4.5-12 cm; tube 3.5-8.5 cm, whitish inside, without purple band, ventricose, ± constricted at top. Spadix 6.5-13.5 cm, much shorter than lamina, sometimes hardly protruding from tube. Female zone 16-26 mm; lower sterile zone 3-7 mm; male zone 2.2-6 x 4.5-7 mm; upper sterile zone 5-15 mm. Sterile filaments yellowish-white, lower 3.5-6 mm, upper 2.5-6 mm. Appendix yellow, distinctly stipitate, stout, 3-7.5 cm; club ellipsoid, 1.5-6.5 x 3-11 mm. Fl. 4-5. Amongst shrubs, in ravines, on loam, and in disturbed habitats, nr s.I.-150 m.
