Tree to 10m. Stems slender, usually several. Leaves erect-arcuate, becoming pendent with age, subglaucous; median segments 30-50 cm, rigid; basal segments 8-15 x 0.8-1 cm. Sepals of staminate flowers 2-3 mm, triangular-acute; petals 6-7 x 2.5 mm. Petals of pistillate flowers as long as sepals, 2.5 x 4-4.5 mm, obtuse. Fruit ellipsoid, 14-16 x 7-11 mm, ripe fruit yellowish-brown, fibrous. Fr. 7-11. Pinus brutia forest, stream valleys, s.I.-200 m.
