Rather similar to B. paradoxa but differing in having falcately recurved leaves; patent perianth c. 8 mm, with inner lobes clearly broader than long and very different from the triangular-ovate outer ones; anthers violet; fruiting pedicels to 2 mm; valves of capsule to 12 mm broad. Fl. 5. Limestone and shaley scree, 2800-3000 m.
