Leaves 2, first one 4-12 mm broad, second one less than half as broad, ± covered with rather long patent hairs on both surfaces, undulate-twisted, base of leaves and scape usuaily with purplish spots. Scape 5-12 cm at anthesis, to 23 cm in fruit. Raceme 10-20-flowered, rather lax. Pedicels 2-4 mm, ascending, blue-violet. Perianth dark blue-vio1et, 5-6 mm, tubular to tubular-campanulate; lobes c. 1/2 as long as tube, broadly elliptic, subobtuse to obtuse, submucronate. 2n =18. FI.2-4. Quereus coccifera scrub, stony slopes, limestone scree, limestone rocks, 100-1100 m.
Endemic. E. Medit. element. Related to H. Glabrescens and H. heldreichii.
