Bulb 3-4 x 2,5-3 cm, without offsets; tunics dark brownish. Leaves 1-2, 8-13 x 1,3-3 cm, always longer than scape, brownish in fruit. Scape 5-8 cm. Raceme short but dense, 9-36-flowered with 7-18 sterile flowers at apex. Fertile flowers cylindrical, 5-6 mm, brownish with yellow, reflexed lobes; pedicels horizontal, 1 mm before anthesis, becoming 3-4 mm after anthesis. Sterile flowers oblong-cylindrical, violaceous; pedicels 2-4 mm. Filaments white; anthers dark violet. Capsule 0,8-1 cm. 2n=18. Fl. 5-6. Open stony places, serpentine rocks, 1450-1650 m.
