Bulb with numerous offsets. Scape 30-80 cm, erect ,robust. Leaves 6-8, shorter than scape, 10-30 mm broad at base, usually narrower than in O. persicum, glabrous, not ciliate, without a white line on upper surface. Raceme corymbose, flat-topped, dense, with 6-25 flowers. Perianth segments 15-32 mm, white or cream inside, slightly greenish outside but without green fascia. Ovary purplish-black. Fruiting pedicels to 8 cm, erect. Capsule ovoid, subglobose or obovoid, ± winged. Fl. 4-6. Rocky places.
