Scapes erect, 7-25 cm, usually exceeding leaves. Leaves several, linear, 7-9 mm broad, without a white line on upper surface; margins denticulate to ciliate, usually reddish and conspicuously undulate . Raceme corymbose, with 10-20 flowers. Perianth segments 12-15 mm, white inside, white with a green fascia outside. Fruiting pedicels stiff, spreading at an angle of c. 45°, lower ones 25-45 mm. Capsule unwinged. 2n = 14, 18. Fl. 3-6. Calcareous slopes and hills, macchie, fields, 350-1700 m.
