Scape 30-100 cm. Leaves several but often withered at anthesis, shorter than scapes, linear, 2-5 mm broad, margins generally entire, rarely slightly denticulate. Raceme cylindrical, 7-17 cm, with 25-40 flowers, Perianth segments 7-8 mm, pale yellow inside, mostly green outside, not erect and connivent in fruit. Fruiting pedicels erect-spreading, to 25 mm. Capsule ovoid-obconical. 2n = 18. Fl. 5-6. Slopes and meadows, s.l.-1400 m.
