Height 15-40 cm. Stems terete, longitudinally striped, white-tomentose, with short subadpressed indumentum, sometimes glabrescent. Leaves with spreading woolly hairs, glabrescent, linear, median cauline 1,5-3 x 0,25-0,4 cm, pinnatisect, segments densely or loosely imbricate, 3-lobed to 3-partite, lobes 1,5-2 mm, orbicular to broadly obovate, denticulate. Capitula 10-30, corymbs 3-8 cm broad, peduncles 3-10 mm. Involucre ovoid-hemispherical to depressed, 4-5 x 5-6 mm. Phyllaries ovate to oblong, obtuse, without pellucid margins, puberulent. Ligules 6-8, white, 2·5-4·5 mm; disc flowers 40-50. Fl. 4-5. Maritime rocks, sandy limestone cliffs, s.I.-100 m.
