Perennial rosulate herb. Leaves oblanceolate, 3-11 x 0,75-1,5 cm, ± distinctly 3-nerved, gradually attenuate at base, obtuse or broadly acute at apex, subentire or distantly denticulate, pubescent on both surfaces. Capitula on 7-30 cm scapes. Involucre 1-1,5 cm broad; phyllaries lanceolate, 6-11 x 2-3 mm, acute. Ray flowers c. 50; ligules white, often strongly tinged with pink, 0,75-1 cm. Disc corollas 2,25-2,5 mm. Achenes rather square and somewhat notched at apex, 1,6-2,25 x 1-1,2 mm, quite strongly pubescent. Fl. 9-1. Hillsides and gravelly soil, 800 m.
