Indumentum of spreading softly hirsute hairs and shorter viscid glandular hairs. Stems 15-75 cm, ± densely leafy at base. Leaves oblanceolate or spathulate, 1-4 x 0,25-1 cm, acute, attenuate at base, median auriculate and semi-amplexicaul,  ± densely hirsute. Capitula solitary or 2-3 on short axillary peduncles, forming lax racemes or panicles. Involucre 1-1,75 cm broad; phyllaries linearlanceolate, outer 5 x 0,75 mm, acute, herbaceous, densely glandular, inner 9 x 1,5 mm, acuminate, scarious, slightly longer than pappus. Ray flowers c. 70, ligules 5 x 0,5 mm, mauve or pink; disc flower corollas 5,5-6 mm. Achenes 2,5-3 mm, pubescent. Pappus whitish, 4,5-5,5 mm. Fl. 8-9. Moist places at margins of fields, etc., 1060-1525 m.
