Erect viscous annual, stems 20-80 cm. Stems and leaves densely glandular-hairy. Basal leaves petiolate, ovate to oblong, lobed to pinnatifid; cauline sessile, narrowly oblong, pinnatifid. Capitula shortly radiate, 6-8 mm broad. Involucre narrowly cup-shaped; phyllaries 7-10 mm, lanceolate. Calycular bracts 2-5 mm, linear. Ligules c. 2 mm, revolute, yellow. Achenes 3-4 mm, ribbed, glabrous. Pappus 7-8 mm, white. Fl. 6-9. Woodland, rocky slopes, cultivated fields, 1100-2350 m.
Europe except extreme N, Caucasia.
