Rhizomatous herb. Stems 15-30 cm, sparsely pubescent, leafy. Basal leaves 2-pinnatisect, 4-8,5 cm, on petioles 1-4 cm, linear-oblanceolate in outline, with 8-16 pairs of primary segments 5-8 mm, each bearing 3-9 pairs of linear lobes 3-5 x 0,3-0,5 mm, apiculate at apex, margin entire, villous at first, becoming sparsely hairy when adult, glandular-foveolate; cauline leaves similar, becoming sessile and smaller above. Capitula in ± dense corymbs of 3-15. Involucre 4-5 mm broad; phyllaries 3-4-seriate with pale, ± entire scarious margins, outer ovate-lanceolate, 2,5 x 1 mm, inner linear-lanceolate, 4 x 1,5 mm. Female flowers inconspicuous, yellow, 2 mm, 3-lobed at apex. Disc flowers 2,5 mm. Achenes 1,5 mm, 4-ribbed; corona ± entire, c. 0,2 mm. Fl. 6.7. Pinus woods, margins of fields, 1060-1600 m.
