Plant ± cushion-like, 5-15 cm, eglandular or sparsely glandular, white-tomentose or canescent, ± velutinous, with a ± dense indumentum of very short crisped interwoven hairs, covered with longer, to 2mm, adpressed or subadpressed weak hairs. Basal and cauline leaves linear to oblanceolate and oblong, 1-6 x 0,2-1,5 cm. Cymes 5-10 cm in fruit. Bracts lineae to linear-lanceolate, 0,3-2 x 0,2-0,5 cm, as long as or slightly longer than calyx. Calyx 4-6 mm in flower, slightly longer in fruit. Corolla blue to purple, galbrous outside, 10-15 mm, limb 5-10 mm diam. Nutlets 2-2,5 mm diam., densely tuberculate, warts obtuse, not confluent at base; beak straight, horizontal. Fl. 3-6. Crevices of limestone rocks, Quercus and Pinus forest, garigue, 280-1300 m.
