Plant 25-45 cm, asperulous-canescent, with dense indumentum of short mostly glandular hairs with few transitions between them and the ± numerous spreading 1-2 mm eglandular hispid-setiform hairs. Basal leaves lanceolate-linear to oblong-cuneate, 3-7 x 0·5-1 cm; cauline linear-Ianceolate to oblong, 2-5 x 0·5-1 cm. Cymes 10-20 cm in fruit. Calyx 8-10 mm in flower, 9-13 mm in fruit. Corolla yellow, glabrous outside, 15-24 mm, limb 9-15 mm diam. Nutlets 3-3·5 mm diam., scrobiculate-reticulate; beak strongly deflexed. Fl.2-5. Rocky limestone and metamorphic slopes, Quercus scrub, 500-1400 m.
