Plant 15-40 cm, asperulous-canescent, indumentum passing gradually from short mostly glandular to ± numerous hispid-setiform, 1-2 mm, eglandular hairs. Basal leaves oblong-cuneate, 4-8 x 0·7-1·3 cm; cauline linear-lanceolate to oblong, 1·5-4 x 0·3-1 cm. Cymes 10-20 cm in fruit. Bracts linear-lanceolate to lanceolate, 1-3 x 0·3-1 cm. Calyx 5-8 mm in flower, 9-13 mm in fruit. Corolla yellow, glabrous outside, 10-15 mm, limb 4-6 mm diam. Nutlets 3-4 mm diam., scrobiculate-reticulate; beak strongly deflexed. Fl. 4-7.Rocky limestone slopes, Pinus forest, Quercus scrub, s.l.-1450 m.
