Plant 10-25 cm, eglandular, white-tomentose with dense indumentum of very short crisped hairs, mixed with numerous 1-2 mm subadpressed weak hairs. Basal leaves elliptic to oblanceolate, 1-6 x 0·5-1 cm; cauline oblong, 1-3 x 0·5-1 cm. Cymes 5-20 cm in fruit. Bracts oblong to linear-lanceolate, 0·5-3 x 0·2-1 cm, twice as long as calyx or longer. Calyx 5-7 mm in flower, slightly.longer in fruit. Corolla 14-17 mm, glabrous outside, limb white, 4-5 mm diam., tube pink, yellowish-brown or bright blue. Nutlets 1·7-2:2 mm diam., densely tuberculate, warts obtuse, ± confluent at base; beak straight, horizontal. Fl. 4-6. Limestone rocks, 475-700 m.
