Plant 15-30 cm, densely glandular-pubescent and sparsely or moderately hispid-setose, with short mostly glandular hairs passing gradually to eglandular 1-2 mm spreading setiform hairs. Basal leaves oblong-cuneate to linear-lanceolate, 3-6x0·5-1 cm; cauline often broader, 1.5-7x0.5-1.5 cm. Cymes 8-15 cm in fruit. Bracts linear-Ianceolate, 1-2·5 x 0·2-0·5 cm. Calyx 6-8 mm in flower, 10-12 mm in fruit. Corolla 10-16 mm, pubescent outside, limb whitish to yellow, 2-5 mm diam., tube brownish to violet. Nutlets 3-5 mm diam., scrobiculate-reticulate; beak strongly deflexed. FI. 4-6. Pinus forest, limestone slopes, steppe, phrygana, fallow fields, 400-1900 m.
