Anchusa limbata

 Gövrek

Low patent-hispid biennial; stems ascending to erect, 5-19 cm. Lower leaves to 50 x 5 mm, linear, entire or slightly undulate. Cymes dense, bracts foliaceous, ±densely whitish patent-hispid. Calyx c. 7.5 mm, not greatly accrescent in fruit, strigulose, divided to c. ½ into acute lanceolate lobes. Corolla actinomorphic, tube to 8 mm, whitish, limb greatly reduced with crenulate margin, c. 1 mm, or with short lobes to 1.75 mm, bluish-violet. Stamens inserted above middle of tube; scals conspicuous, 1.75-2.5 mm, excertes, densely long-papillate. Nutlets oblique. Fl. 3. Calcareous hills, under Pinus brutia and Cedrus libani, 1100-1300 m.
