Biennial, 15-20 cm, stems numerous, erect to suberect, simple, adpressed-strigulose. Early basal leaves small, ovate, attenuate into short petiole, later developing ones narrowly oblong with lamina 30-35 x 3-4 mm, attenuate into petiole to 35 mm; cauline narrowly oblong, sessile. Inflorescence corymbose. Maturing pedicels slightly exceeding calyx. Calyx lobes linear, c. 6 mm. Corolla whitish to flesh-coloured when dry, 6-6.5 mm, tube c. 3 x as long as limb; limb lobed to base. Scales narrowly oblong, 1.5-2 mm, apex incurved. Style 4.5-5 mm, shorter than calyx. Nutlets 8-10 mm, disc sparsely glochidiate, margin of wing with incurving glochidiate teeth. Fl. 5-7. Uncultivated hills.
