Densely woolly-tomentose perennial, arachnoid on younger branches and leaves. Basal leaves densely white-tomentose, lamina broadly elliptic to elliptic, 25-35 x 15-20 mm, apex obtuse with small mucro, petiole 20-25 mm; cauline linear-oblong, acute, 10-20 x 3-6 mm, subamplexicaul. Pedicels 4 mm, equalling calyx. Calyx lobes 2,5-3 mm, ovate, acuminate. Corolla 5-6 mm, lobes short, very obtuse. Style 2-3 mm. Nutlets 7-9 x 8 mm, disc rhombic, broadest in middle, glochidiate-echinulate, wing broad, denticulate with numerous glochids. Fl. 5-8. Alt. c. 1600 m.
