Close to O. ambigens, but differing principally in indumentum characters: leaves glabrous ; tubercles very dense beneath, with short slender setae; calyx lobes adpressed-setulose over whole surface, setae on tiny glabrous tubercles; corolla pale yellow at first, becoming creamy-white. Fl. 4-7. Sandy, shaly, igneous and limestone slopes, Pinus brutia wood, Quercus scrub, steppe, etc., 60-2750 m.
