Annual up to 40 cm, simple or much branched, usually without basal rosettes. Lower leaves cuneate-obovate, toothed, with an indumentum of stiff, white, unbranched hairs; cauline leaves few, smaller, semi-clasping, entire margined. Petals, 2,5-3 x 1 mm, oblong, entire at apex. -Fruiting pedicel 3-9 mm. Fruit c. 5-7 x9-14 mm, entirely glabrous or glabrous only on disc with short clavate hairs on margin, or pubescent all over. Fl. 3-6. Rocky slopes, often limestone or serpentine, from s.I.-400 m.
