Annual herb. Stems erect, leafy, with an indumentum of stellate and furcate hairs, up to 20 cm. Basal leaves petiolate, obovate or oblanceolate, serrate-dentate, sparsely stellate-pubescent, and with ciliate margins, forming a ± distinct rosette. Stem leaves semiamplexicaul. Petals white, c. 2 mm. Siliculae 4,5-7 mm, glabrous. Fl. 4. Woods and hills, 20-2000 m.
Throughout Europe, N.W. Africa, Caucasia, W. Syria.
