Annual, 15-40 cm, usually much branched, leafy up to and including the inflorescence. Basal leaves petiolate, oblong-lanceolate, toothed, pinnatifid or entire; upper leaves petiolate, oblong-Ianceolate, margins entire, acute at apex. Petals 1 mm. Fruiting pedicels c.1 x 1-1,5 mm. Fruit ± densely covered with branched white hairs, 3 x 1,5-2 mm, including the beak, 1-1,5 mm, which is curved away from stem. Fl. 4-6. Steppe and fields, 1400-1900 m.
