Perennial herb. Stems ascending to erect, up to 20 cm, canescent with an indumentum of stellate-furcate eglandular hairs, all ± equal in length. Leaves entire, narrowly elliptic to narrowly obovate, the lower with swollen, pulvinate bases. Sepals strongly saccate, 11-12 mm. Petals lilac, the limb c. 6 mm broad, abruptly tapered into the claw. Fl. 6. Screes and plateau, 1800-2200 m.
