Biennial herb. Stems erect, up to 30 cm. Hairs all short, simple and glandular. Leaves serrate, narrowly ovate to lanceolate. Sepals saccate, 7-8 mm, deciduous. Petals reddish violet, 20-28 mm, the claw strongly exserted from the calyx, the limb tapering into the claw. Siliquae erect, terete, obscurely torulose, glandularpilose. Fl. 5-6. Igneous slopes, fields, etc., 1600-2000 m.
