Perennial, 50 cm or more. Stem glabrous, laxly panicled. Leaves thin, entire; basal leaves obovate-elliptical, hirsute; median stem leaves glabrous or with a ciliate margin, ovate or oblong-acuminate, with large, ovate-oblong, obtuse auricles. Flowers 5 mm. Fruits broadly obovate, apex truncate-emarginate, densely tomentose, 10 x 6 mm, wing apparently thin, much broader than loculus, Fl. 5-6.

Endemic; a very distinctive plant.
