Perennial, 4-10 cm, ± glaucescent, with several simple, erect or ascending stems; at least some leaves papillose at margins. Basal leaves small, c. 5-10 mm, oblong-spathulate, petiolate, sterile shoots rosette-forming. Cauline leaves ovate, entire, amplexicaul. Petals white or yellow, 6-8 x 2,5-3 mm. Inflorescence compact, corymbose, scarcely elongating in fruit. Siliculae spathulate-oblong - mature fruits not known. Fl. 5-6. Alpine slopes, often near melting snows, 2200-2570 m.
