Slender perennial herb, often with a woody stock showing many leaf-scars. Stems erect, branched above the middle, 10-30 cm. Basal leaves forming a ± distinct rosette, simple and dentate or rarely lyrate-pinnatifid, pilose. Stem leaves auriculate, sparsely pilose, 1-2 x irregularly pinnatisect, the segments linear. Petals 2,0-3,5 mm. Fruits linear 6-8 x 0,5 mm. Fl. 4-6. Grassy places near sea level.
