Annual or biennial, 20-100 cm, with an indumentum of long stiff white hairs at base of stem and on leaves, ± glabrous above. Basal leaves not rosette-forming, runcinate-pinnatifid with 6-8 pairs of lateral lobes. Petals yellow, 9-12 x 4-4,5 mm. Fruiting pedicels 5-12 mm, obliquely erect. Siliquae 8-11 cm xc. 1 mm, straight, held at same angle as the pedicels; valves glabrous, thick-walled, obscurely nerved, style 1-2 mm. Radicle incumbent or obliquely so. Fl. 3-6. Cultivated land and waste places, s.l.-1400 m.
