Canescent biennial herb, with branched stems erect, to 45 cm tall. Lower leaves lanceolate, dentate to pinnatisect. Upper leaves entire or sometimes serrate. Petals yellow 7-10 mm. Siliquae erect or spreading, canescent with a dense indumentum of stellate hairs. Stigma deeply bifid, the lobes spreading 1,25-1,5 mm long. Two subspecies may be recognised:
