Perennial, branched at base. Stem arising from woody caudex, 8-10 cm, ascending erect, densely and retrorsely pubescent or hairs dense, spreading. Leaves crowded at base, petiolate, elliptic to ovate-lanceolate, 15-20 x 2-7 mm, irregularly dentate, greyish-green, sparsely pubescent to glabrescent. Cauline leaves sessile, linear, much smaller. Inflorescence lax, spicate, few-flowered. Flowers solitary, erect. Bracts linear, c. 1 mm, pubescent. Pedicels to 2 mm, pubescent. Calyx lobes subulate, 2-3 mm, pubescent. Corolla lobes 5-6 mm, pubescent on outside.. Ovary globose, 1,5 mm, densely pubescent; style 5 mm, included; stigma 3,1 mm. Capsule globose, 3 mm, opening by 3 median pores. Seeds elliptic, 0,8 x 0,3 mm, light brown, shiny. Fl. 7-8. Rocks, 1670 m.
